‘와사비 테러’ 하는 日 초밥집 후기에 “김치 냄새 한국인들 오지마라” 일본인들 반응

An unfortunate racist incident at a famous sushi restaurant
in Fukuoka, Japan,  has sparked outrage on the internet.

A Korean tourist claimed that his family was served sushi with an excessive amount of wasabi, and the restaurant allegedly responded  by saying, "Chill out, it was just a joke. Our restaurant staff would never do such a horrible thing to a customer." Have a nice trip."

This news quickly spread, with Korean online commentators leaving negative reviews for the restaurant and accusing
the staff of being racist. The tourist reported that his family had to wait in line for 30 minutes
to be seated and were shocked to find a spoonful of wasabi on their raw shrimp. They claimed that the chef "appeared to be" mocking them with a wicked smile and that other members of the family had the same experience.

The restaurant denied the allegations, claiming that "it was not possible for such a dish to have been served in our restaurant" and that "the incident was merely a joke. Chill out" This response was met with further criticism from online commentators, who accused the restaurant of being unprofessional, unqualified, and racist. Many of them posted negative reviews and low ratings, giving the restaurant only 1 star.

However, the situation escalated as Japanese commentators defended the restaurant and left racist comments against
Korean tourists. The restaurant's ratings improved, and some Japanese commentators even left comments in support of the restaurant, saying "do your best and don't lose to stupid Koreans that smell (like kimchi)."

This is not the first time a Japanese restaurant has been accused of racism against Korean tourists. There have been many similar reports that have caused controversy on the internet. a Korean tourist in Japan also reported a similar incident at a famous sushi restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo just last summer.

The growing trend of hostility and racism against Korean tourists in Japan reflects insecurities and competition "among some individuals in the country," especially towards Japan's neighboring countries.

Some Japanese commentators "netizens" have expressed their shame and disappointment over their behavior
and have criticized them for damaging Japan's reputation.

"They believe that such behavior should not be tolerated"
"It's important to preserve the country's image as a safe and respectful country"

Some commentators argue that they should remain respectful and welcoming for all tourists,
regardless of tension between japan and its neighboring countries.

However, the situation escalated as Japanese commentators defended the restaurant and left racist comments against

Korean tourists. They said that Korean tourists were dirty and smelly, and that they should not be allowed in Japan.

Many japanese people lashing out against Korean tourists with hostility and racism.
These incidents are an indication that many people are feeling competitive, frustrated
and insecure towards koreans.

This is not the first time a Japanese restaurant has been accused of racism against Korean tourists. There have been many similar reports in the past, and it is a growing problem. Some Japanese people have expressed their shame and disappointment over this behavior, saying that it damages Japan's reputation as a safe and respectful country.

The growing trend of hostility and racism against Korean tourists is a reflection of the insecurities and competition that some people feel towards Japan's neighboring countries, especially after the recent economic rise of Korea.
We should all strive to be respectful and welcoming to tourists from all over the world, regardless of our personal differences. Racism is never acceptable, and we should all stand up against it.
